Nicosia, Cyprus. Greek singer Maria Farantouri was awarded the medal for outstanding contribution of the Republic of Cyprus during a ceremony on Thursday evening. The medal was presented during a Cyprus Symphonic Orchestra concert dedicated to composer Mikis Theodorakis.
