Cyprus’ construction sector recorded annual growth of 0.7 per cent in production and 4.7 per cent in output prices in the first quarter of 2026, according to the state statistical service Cystat. The Index of Production in Construction reached 120.74 units, while the Output Prices Index in Construction stood at 129.46 units.


Production index

Cystat said the Index of Production in Construction for the first quarter of 2026 reached 120.74 units, based on a reference value of 100.00 units in the base year of 2021.

The figure marked an increase of 0.7 per cent compared with the first quarter of 2025.

Output prices

The Output Prices Index in Construction reached 129.46 units in the first quarter of 2026.

According to the report, the index rose by 3.0 per cent from the fourth quarter of 2025 and increased by 4.7 per cent compared with the same period a year earlier.
