Cyprus opposes the construction of the gas pipeline between Israel and Turkey

Cyprus may block the construction of the gas pipeline between Israel and Turkey. In June the relationship between Ankara and Tal-Aviv were settled after 6 years of conflict.

As Benjamin Netanyahu said- the main reason for the compromise is the opportunity for Israel to access the European energy market through the Turkish territory.

The Cyprus authorities are opposing to this project. However, the financial analytics are already sceptical about the project due to economic factors.
