Nicosia, Cyprus. Petroleum product sales in Cyprus totalled 146,963 tonnes in September 2026, a 1.5 per cent increase on September 2025, according to the Cyprus Statistical Service (Cystat). Growth in motor gasoline, liquefied petroleum gas and aviation kerosene more than offset lower volumes of road diesel and heating gasoil.

Annual comparison

Deliveries from filling stations climbed 1.7 per cent against September 2025, to 62,557 tonnes.

Liquefied petroleum gases recorded the strongest annual gain among individual products, at 12.1 per cent. Asphalt sales grew by 5.1 per cent, light fuel oil by 1.6 per cent and motor gasoline by 1.5 per cent. Provisions of aviation kerosene were 1.4 per cent higher than a year earlier.

Some products moved in the opposite direction. Provisions of marine gasoil dropped by 3.6 per cent, heating gasoil sales fell by 6 per cent and road diesel sales by 1.4 per cent.

Month-on-month change

Compared with August, total petroleum product sales in September were up by 20.8 per cent, with several categories contributing to the rise.

Among the products highlighted by Cystat, marine gasoil provisions showed the biggest monthly jump, at 51.3 per cent. Road diesel sales increased by 21.4 per cent and motor gasoline sales by 10 per cent. Provisions of aviation kerosene went up by 1.9 per cent.

Stocks and nine-month figures
