Cyprus set a new tourist record

According to the Cyprus Statistics Service, in August Cyprus was visited by a record number of people – 523.5 thousand foreign tourists. This is 14% more than in August last year. At the same time, the total influx of tourists for the first 8 months of 2017 has grown by exactly the same number. Most of the tourists in Cyprus were still tourists from the UK and Russia. However, the leaders of tourist growth this year were Israelis, Germans, Austrians and Poles.
Recall also that the income from tourism in Cyprus in the first half of the year increased by 20% year on year.
