DIKO, EDEK and “Solidarity” request withdrawal of military troops

So called centric parties announced their position in a common document. In other words, the parties are calling for cancellation of guarantee agreement and withdrawal of foreign military forces from Cyprus territory until referendum is being held.  Parties refer to Turkish, Greek and other foreign military troops. In the meantime, they would accept the presence of Cyprus military supported by UN and European Council.

The document also calls Turkey to fulfil its obligations concerning security requirements, including, recognition of the Republic of Cyprus and demarkation of EEZ between the two countries.

Political parties also suggest cancelling the union agreement signed between Greece, Turkey and Cyprus in 1960.
