Limassol, Cyprus. A 34-year-old man was arrested on Thursday night after police allegedly caught him driving at 177km/h on a road with an 80km/h speed limit.

Police stopped the vehicle at around 11.10pm. The driver, a foreign national, also failed alcohol and drug tests, recording 29μg of alcohol compared with the legal limit of 22μg.

The man was arrested and the case was immediately registered before a court for trial.
