Emergency military meeting

The government of Cyprus has called in an emergency meeting with the military.

Due to the recent event in Turkey, Mr. Nicos Anastasiades has instructed his deputy to conduct consultations with the Commanders of the National Guard of Cyprus. He was unable to do it himself because he is currently in Mongolia participating in the European-Asian summit.

Cyprus is also in uninterrupted contact with the Greek authorities.
