Thabindra Kumar Kafle of Gaurishankar Rural Municipality, where the mountain is located, said workers assigned by a hiking company to search for the bodies spotted them on Friday.
Weather delays
Phurba Tenjing Sherpa of Dreamers’ Destination, the hiking company guiding the foreign climbers, said rescuers were attempting to reach the site but were delayed by bad weather.
“We are trying to reach the site where the bodies were seen but are stuck here due to bad weather,” he said from Bongar Khola, near the site, where a helicopter was waiting for visibility to improve.
“The bodies may have come out after the snow melted,” he said.

Two other climbers, an Italian and a French national, died at the mountain’s base camp.
