Flower Festival in Limassol

During the past weekend, one of the most colorful festival of the year “Anthifestria” took place in Limassol.

The tradition of the festival came to Cyprus from Greece. The celebrations were initially held in Athens to worship Dionysus, the god of wine and prosperity. People used to celebrate the awakening of humans and nature.

The opening ceremony took place on Saturday evening and the flower parade was held on the Limassol’s coastal road on Sunday. One of the

biggest and most memorable participants was the creation of the Cyprus Land theme park team.
