Foot and mouth disease cases reported in Dhali and Yeri outside Larnaca containment zone

Nicosia, Cyprus. Two cases of foot and mouth disease have been reported outside the Larnaca containment zone, in Dhali and Yeri in the Nicosia district. The Veterinary Services were on alert following the unconfirmed reports on Monday.

Dhali and Yeri are surrounded by hoofed animal farms, according to the reports.

It was not immediately clear whether the incidences were in cattle, sheep or goat farms.
