Friday showers forecast for coasts before rain moves inland

Nicosia, Cyprus. Friday’s forecast calls for localised rain along the island’s western and northern coasts at first, with thunderstorms also possible in both areas. The rain-bearing clouds are then expected to move towards the interior and mountains during the day.

Friday temperatures and overnight outlook

Daytime highs are forecast at 26 degrees Celsius for inland and coastal areas, while mountain temperatures should peak at 14 degrees Celsius.

Partly cloudy conditions are expected overnight, along with scattered coastal showers. Forecast lows are 14 degrees Celsius in the interior, 18 degrees Celsius along the coast and eight degrees Celsius in mountain areas.

Weekend forecast

Further showers are expected on Saturday across the mountains and northern parts of the island, with the rain-bearing clouds moving west later in the day.

The forecast indicates clearing skies for Sunday and Monday, while temperatures should stay largely unchanged throughout the weekend and on Monday.
