George Pantelides to become Hellenic Healthcare Group chief executive in 2027
George Pantelides will leave Deloitte after more than 20 years to lead Hellenic Healthcare Group from January 1, 2027.

Nicosia, Cyprus. George Pantelides will become chief executive of Hellenic Healthcare Group (HHG) on January 1, 2027, after leaving Deloitte following more than 20 years with the firm. He will lead the private healthcare provider, which operates in Cyprus and Greece.
Current roles
Pantelides will remain chairman of the Cyprus Employers and Industrialists Federation (Oev), a position he assumed in May 2025.
He currently leads Deloitte Cyprus’ consulting businesses and is the firm’s chief strategy officer. He also serves on Deloitte Middle East’s leadership team.
His advisory work has covered local and international organisations, including mergers and acquisitions, business development and organisational transformation.
HHG ownership and operations
Pantelides’ appointment follows his significant involvement in major healthcare-sector investment transactions, as HHG expanded its network of hospitals and diagnostic centres.
HHG’s shareholders include Abu Dhabi-based PureHealth and investment firm CVC Capital Partners. PureHealth completed the acquisition of a 60 per cent stake in October 2025 for €800 million, valuing HHG’s total equity at about €1.3 billion.
Under the ownership agreement, CVC retained a 35 per cent stake and Dimitris Spyridis retained 5 per cent.
At the completion of the acquisition, PureHealth said HHG operated 11 hospitals and 23 diagnostic centres, served more than 1.4 million patients annually and employed more than 6,900 healthcare professionals.
Cyprus and Greece network
HHG’s hospital network in Cyprus includes Apollonion and Aretaeio in Nicosia. Its Greek operations include Hygeia, Metropolitan Hospital, Mitera Hospital and Metropolitan General.
