Paphos, Cyprus. Drivers will face lane closures and diversions during highway works scheduled for the coming days, the public works department announced on Friday.

Bridge inspections and maintenance towards Limassol

The department said inspections at Pissouri bridge on the Paphos-Limassol highway would take place on Monday, from 8.30am until 3pm. Vehicles will be directed into the fast lane.

Maintenance along the Limassol-bound sections at Konya and Ayia Varvara is scheduled from Monday to Friday, between 8am and 4pm. The department said traffic would cross to the opposite carriageway through highway openings near Ayia Marinouda and Anatoliko.

Works at Kourion bridge, near Kantou village on the same highway, are planned for Tuesday, from 8.30am until 3pm. Traffic will again use the fast lane, according to the department.

Overnight restrictions towards Larnaca

The department also announced road-surface maintenance on the Larnaca-bound carriageway of the Kofinou-Larnaca highway from Monday to Thursday, between 8pm and 5.30am.

Both Larnaca-bound lanes will close in sections measuring 4 kilometres, with vehicles diverted onto the opposite carriageway during the works.

Access changes at highway entrances

According to the department, the Larnaca-bound highway entrance at Alethriko will be closed, with drivers directed to the next entrance at Anglisides.

The Larnaca-bound entrance at Klavdia will also close, and traffic will be routed through the Kalo Chorio roundabout. Access from Klavdia towards the Kofinou highway will remain available via the Alethriko entrance, the department said.
