June Streaming Highlights Include The Legend of Vox Machina, Cape Fear and I Will Find You

New York, United States. June has brought a new round of streaming releases, including animated fantasy, crime drama and projects based on true stories and bestselling fiction.

The Legend of Vox Machina returns

The adult animated fantasy series The Legend of Vox Machina enters its fourth and penultimate season, set one year after the end of Season 3. The group has parted ways to focus on their individual lives, but they are drawn back together to confront the ancient Whispered One.

Cape Fear gets a modern update

Based on the John D. MacDonald book and inspired by the 1991 film starring Robert De Niro, Cape Fear offers a more modern version of the story with a stronger emphasis on violence. The series follows a psychotic man who is released from prison and seeks revenge on the lawyer who sent him there and on his family.

Javier Bardem leads the cast

Javier Bardem plays Max Cady, while Amy Adams and Patrick Wilson portray the couple targeted by his campaign of intimidation. The series is produced by Steven Spielberg and Martin Scorsese.

Mexico ’86 tells World Cup story

Mexico ’86 is based on a true story and follows Marin De La Torre, a Mexican government official who led efforts to bring the 1986 World Cup finals to Mexico. The project portrays the lengths he went to in pursuing that goal.

Harlan Coben adaptation arrives

Netflix’s latest Harlan Coben adaptation is I Will Find You, starring Sam Worthington. It follows a father imprisoned for the murder of his son, a crime he did not commit, as he continues investigating from prison and uncovers evidence suggesting his son may still be alive.
