Konia roadworks delayed by technical problems

Konia, Cyprus. Roadworks in Konia will be delayed by a few days because of technical problems encountered by the contractor laying asphalt, Paphos acting mayor Angelos Onisiforou said on Friday.

Asphalt works to resume

Onisiforou told the Cyprus News Agency that asphalt laying would resume on Monday and that the road was expected to be fully reopened to traffic on Tuesday.

Municipality monitoring project

Following complaints from motorists about the delays, Onisiforou said the municipality was closely monitoring the works to ensure the project was completed to a high standard and met safety requirements.
