Limassol, Cyprus. The Limassol criminal court on Thursday ordered the seizure of assets worth €164,000 from two defendants in a drug trafficking case.

The order followed a financial investigation conducted after authorities found five kilograms of cocaine and 12 kilograms of cannabis in November 2024.

Financial investigation

According to a police statement, a criminal case was filed against four people: two aged 52, one aged 35 and one aged 34.

During the investigation, the drug squad and Mokas, the anti-money laundering unit, conducted a financial inquiry into the defendants.

Assets seized

Authorities requested the seizure of assets including cash and vehicles.

The court approved the request, authorising the seizure of €144,000 in assets belonging to the 35-year-old defendant and €20,000 belonging to the 34-year-old defendant.
