Famagusta, Cyprus. A 34-year-old man arrested over a violent attack that injured two people in Famagusta district was on Monday remanded for eight days by the Famagusta district court.

The attack occurred around 8:40pm on Sunday when two men, aged 18 and 30, reported they were assaulted outside their home in the district. The 18-year-old received first aid and was discharged from Famagusta general hospital. The 30-year-old was transferred to Nicosia general hospital in a serious but stable condition, including a serious head injury.
