The fire started at around 3.40am in a bedroom where a mobile phone was lying on a bed while connected to a charger, fire service spokesman Andreas Kettis said.
The child noticed the fire, left the room and alerted the parents. The family left the house safely and no one was injured.
Two fire engines were dispatched to the scene and extinguished the blaze.
