Mostly clear skies expected as isolated mountain storms develop

Nicosia, Cyprus. Mostly clear skies are expected on Thursday, with cloud gradually increasing during the day and bringing isolated rain or storms, mainly over the mountains.

Temperatures are forecast to reach 39 degrees inland, while isolated afternoon rain and storms are expected to continue in some areas on Friday and Saturday.

Thursday forecast

Winds will initially be variable before becoming mainly southwest to northwest, light to moderate at 3 to 4 Beaufort. The sea will be slight to moderate.

Maximum temperatures will reach 39 degrees inland, around 32 degrees on the western and southwestern coasts, around 34 degrees on the remaining coastal areas and 28 degrees in the higher mountains.

Outlook

Locally increased cloud after midday on Friday and Saturday is expected to bring isolated rain and storms, mainly over the mountains and inland. Hail may occur during storms.

Sunday is expected to be mostly clear, with locally increased cloud in the afternoon.

Temperatures will gradually fall slightly until Saturday, reaching near seasonal averages, before rising slightly again on Sunday.
