Motorcyclist dies after crash in Latsia

Latsia, Cyprus. A 39-year-old motorcyclist died on Sunday night after his motorcycle hit a pavement and then a signpost on Ayios Georgios Street.

Crash investigation

Police said the crash occurred at about 10.20pm on Ayios Georgios Street, in the direction of Yeri. The motorcycle slid along the road for a considerable distance before coming to a stop.

The rider, Yeri resident Rodosthenis Christodoulou, was taken by ambulance to Nicosia General Hospital, where he was pronounced dead on arrival.

Police investigations into the cause of the accident are ongoing.
