New desalination plant will be built in Kouklia

In accordance with the governmental strategy to improve water supply, the Council of Ministers has approved the construction of the desalination plants in Kouklia. The daily production is expected to reach 15,000 m3.

Regardless of criticism from the locals, the new plant will be constructed at the place where the current temporary desalination plant is, which is currently being disassembled.

By the way, the recent research published by the water development  Department revealed that the construction of the new plant is vital, because if the drought will remain, then water production will be done for the whole duration of 2018.
