New system to combat illegal employment

The Minister of Labor Zeta Emilianidou has announced the new legislation which is aimed at combating illegal employment on the island.

Mrs. Emilianidou has stated that currently the number of undeclared working places is at extremely high level. In order to resolve the problem, a new computerized system will be introduced, which was provided to Cyprus by Greece for free.

The system is called “Ergani” and it will monitor all businesses and the staff that they employ.
