Over 173,000 migrants arrived to EU by sea

According to the International Migration Organisation has reported that more than 173,000 people arrived to Europe by sea since the beginning of the year.

According to their data, 173,761 stepped onto the shores of Europe during the first months of the year. Some 723 individuals died or went missing during their journeys to Europe.

As during the last year, the majority of the refugees sail over the Mediterranean Sea. By the 10th of April 153,156 arrived to Greece, 19,930 individuals arrived to Italy and 27 individuals came to Cyprus.
