Paphos hosts Armenian tour agencies as new flights launch to boost tourism links

Paphos, Cyprus. Paphos hosted 40 tour agencies from Armenia this week as part of efforts to strengthen air connectivity and reach new tourism markets following the launch of new flights to the district.

Strategy to expand tourism reach

The Paphos Regional Tourism Board (Etap) said the visit was part of its broader strategy to boost the district’s profile abroad and expand its reach in emerging markets.

Workshop with hotels and operators

As part of the programme, Etap participated in a workshop that brought together the Armenian tour agencies and around 15 hotels in the district. The event included direct meetings, presentations of Paphos’ tourism product, and discussions aimed at building new partnerships.

Site visits and feedback

The visiting operators toured points of interest, hotel facilities and experiences available in Paphos. Etap said participants responded positively, citing the level of hospitality and the quality and variety of the district’s tourism offering.

Expected impact and acknowledgements

Etap said the initiative is expected to strengthen Paphos’ presence in the Armenian market and help increase arrivals from the country. Etap Paphos thanked travel organiser Adventure Tours, Cypriot partner Attica Holidays, the Armenian tour operators and local hoteliers, and said it would continue promoting Paphos as a modern, quality, year-round destination.
