Paphos, Cyprus. The International Council of Music and Ancient Cultures (ICMACY) will host the 12th International Day of Yoga celebration on June 20 at Chlorakas Amphitheatre. The event is organised under the auspices of the High Commission of India in Nicosia and endorsed by the Women’s Entrepreneurship Day Organisation (WEDO).

Event focus and organisers

The celebration will be held in the presence of Indian high commissioner Manish. Organisers said the evening is designed as a celebration of wellbeing, cultural exchange and conscious connection, and is open to people of all ages and experience levels.

Yoga session and participation details

The programme will begin with a welcome followed by a free 45-minute open yoga session presented by The Art of Living. Yoga mats will be provided and no prior experience is required, with participants encouraged to bring cushions for additional comfort.

Music and sound healing programme

From 8pm, the event will continue with a live programme featuring Raga Chikitsa – The Ancient Art of Indian Sound Healing and The Cross Migration Band. The featured raga will be Megh Malhar, which is traditionally associated with serenity, renewal and emotional balance, with the performance described as a musical interpretation of distant storms, rain, calm and sunlight inspired by India’s monsoon season.

Timing, ticketing and website

The event will start at 7pm, with the music programme priced at €15. More information is available at www.icmacy.org/yogaday2026/.
