Pashinyan thanks Christodoulides for Cyprus support at European Political Community summit

Yerevan, Armenia. Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan met President Nikos Christodoulides on the sidelines of the European Political Community summit in Yerevan on Monday and thanked him for Cyprus’ support for the Armenian people.

Review of bilateral relations

According to deputy government spokesman Yiannis Antoniou, Pashinyan and Christodoulides reviewed the relations between Cyprus and Armenia, which Antoniou described as excellent.

Support for Armenia-EU relations

Antoniou said Pashinyan also thanked Christodoulides for Cyprus’ constructive stance in the further development of Armenia’s relations with the European Union.

Areas for further cooperation

Antoniou added that the two leaders discussed issues aimed at strengthening cooperation between Cyprus and Armenia, particularly in air connectivity, tourism and trade.
