Police investigate arson attack on car in Larnaca district

Nicosia, Cyprus. Police are investigating an arson attack on a car parked outside its owner’s home in a village in the Larnaca district.

Owner extinguished the fire

The fire broke out at around 2.40am on Thursday while the vehicle was parked outside the home of its 39-year-old owner.

The owner extinguished the blaze himself and reported the incident to police at around 7am.

Police findings

Police examinations at the scene found that the fire had been deliberately started using a flammable substance.
