The initiative to install new speeding cameras

Ministry of transport has put forward the initiative to install 110 cameras to enforce the speed limits.

However, in order to adopt the relevant legislation, it is necessary to solve the technical issue first: how the fines will be issued and how the payment will be made. According to the local media, the police does not want to take such responsibility.

Next week this initiative will be discussed by the Attorney General Ionas Nicolas and Minister of Transport Marios Demitriades.
