Three arrested in overnight police nightclub operation in Famagusta district

Famagusta, Cyprus. Three people were arrested during overnight police operations at nightclubs in the Famagusta district on Friday, including two for illegal employment offences and one for drug possession. The operation continued until shortly after midnight on Saturday.

Nightclub operation

Police said the operation was carried out on Friday night at nightclubs in the district. During checks at one nightclub, officers identified and arrested two people for illegal employment.

Drug possession arrest

A third person was arrested for the unlawful possession and use of drugs, police said.

Traffic inspections

Police also stopped and inspected a number of cars and motorcycles during the operation, resulting in 12 traffic complaints for various offences.
