University of Cyprus announces English-language degree fees from €5,300 to €25,000 a year
The University of Cyprus has published its English-language undergraduate programmes, with annual tuition ranging from €5,300 for an urban sustainability degree to €25,000 for medicine.

Nicosia, Cyprus. The University of Cyprus (UCy) announced on Tuesday the undergraduate programmes it will teach in English, with yearly tuition between €5,300 and €25,000. Applications for the 2027-2028 academic year open the same day through the YUFE Virtual Campus.
Cheapest option: Urban Sustainability Studies
The lowest fee, €5,300 a year, applies to the three-year Urban Sustainability Studies degree, which UCy offers together with YUFE, an alliance of European universities. Students begin at UCy, where they follow first-year courses, and then pick three specialisations. At least two of these must be studied at other universities within the alliance.
Candidates should also plan for accommodation and living costs while studying abroad. They may be eligible to claim Erasmus funding.
Most expensive option: Doctor of Medicine
The Doctor of Medicine is the costliest programme, at €25,000 a year over six years of full-time study. The university announced on October 21 that the course would start next year, and that it would combine basic medical sciences with clinical training.
Admission requires strong results in science subjects. Applicants with A-levels need an A grade in three subjects chosen from physics, chemistry, biology and mathematics.
Economics and business degrees
The four-year degrees in economics and business cost €10,000 a year. The Bachelor of Economics has a shared curriculum for its first three semesters. After that, students can carry on without a specialisation or opt for economic theory and econometrics, or for international and European economic studies.
The Department of Economics said the first students on the English-language course are expected to begin in September 2027.
