Yellow warning issued as inland temperatures forecast to reach 40C

Nicosia, Cyprus. The met office on Monday issued a yellow weather warning for high temperatures, which will be in force for three hours in the afternoon.

Temperature forecast

The warning will apply from 2pm to 5pm, with inland temperatures expected to reach 40 degrees Celsius.

Maximum temperatures are forecast to reach 31C on the west coast, 34C on the remaining coasts and 30C in the mountains.
