Yellow warning issued as temperatures expected to reach 40C

Nicosia, Cyprus. The meteorological department on Tuesday issued a yellow weather warning for Wednesday, as temperatures are expected to reach around 40 degrees Celsius and above.

Warning period

The warning will be in force from 2pm until 4.30pm on Wednesday.

Public advice

The meteorological office advised the public to avoid practical activities that could expose them to meteorological risks and to exercise general caution in the prevailing weather conditions.
