- Pay attention to the colour palette. When first building a new wardrobe, it’s best to stick to plain-coloured garments, primarily in white, grey, blue and black. A man’s wardrobe should have a healthy dose of minimalism. Of course, using bright fabrics and patterns will add vibrancy to your wardrobe, but it’s best to return to a brighter colour palette later on.
