The story of the creation of the world, the rise and fall of civilisations, legends, novellas and tales from different peoples – all of these are about love and lovers.
Let us recall the legends and myths of ancient Greece
- Aphrodite – the goddess of love and beauty, who set the hearts of gods and mere mortals alight, yet gave her own heart to the most beautiful of youths, the son of the King of Cyprus – Adonis.
- Pygmalion – the great Cypriot sculptor who fell in love with his own creation. The gods heard his plea and brought Galatea to life.
- The power of love united Orpheus and Eurydice for all eternity, and even the realm of darkness was powerless to separate them.
- Golden-haired Apollo granted eternal life to his beloved Daphne, so strong was his love.
- Having overcome all obstacles, the hearts of two lovers – Daphnis and Chloe – are reunited.
And so our story began with the love between the beautiful Evgenia and her beloved Nikita.
Their tender feelings led the couple to the island of the goddess of love.
With our help, the couple chose the Columbia Beach Hotel and Resort as the venue for their wedding celebration. The ceremony took place at the hotel’s small chapel, where, in the presence of their guests, the couple exchanged vows and rings as a sign of their eternal devotion to one another.
Before the celebratory dinner, everyone was treated to a refreshing cocktail on the terrace of the Eros Hotel, which offers a stunning view of the Mediterranean Sea. Dinner for the guests was served in the colourful Pergola tavern, where guests congratulated the newlyweds, enjoyed the wedding cake and listened to traditional songs of love, performed by local musicians throughout the evening in honour of the couple.
In keeping with tradition, the beautiful bride threw her bouquet, which was caught by one of her unmarried friends. The celebrations were enhanced by large, glowing balloons released into the sky.
The celebrations concluded with a lively disco at the Old Custom bar.
