About the venue

Laniteio Lyceum is a public upper-secondary school in central Limassol on Archbishop Makarios III Avenue. It traces its history to the first Greek school of Limassol, founded in 1819, and is the oldest operating lyceum in the city and the largest lyceum in Cyprus. The present building was completed in 1952 with a large contribution from Nicolas Lanitis, after whom the school was named.

From the mid-1980s it was called Laniteio Lyceum A’; in the 2013–14 school year Lyceums A’ and B’ were merged into one. The lyceum is part of the Laniteio complex with the Laniteio Theatre, stadium, park and gymnasium, and houses the Marios Tokas Music Lyceum and the Limassol Athletic Lyceum.
