1,5 million in cash stolen

Owned of the petrol station has made a statement to the police that 1,5 million Euros was stolen in cash.

On Tuesday morning, a very nervous man walked into the police station and he stated the 1,5 million Euros, which he stashed on the 1st floor of the petrol station in Stroumbi in Paphos, were stolen. He explained that he withdrew all his money from his bank accounted in the fear of the “hair-cut”, like in 2013, and he decided to hide them in a much safer place – at his work.

The theft was discovered only on Tuesday, however money could’ve been stolen earlier because the petrol station was closed due to public holidays.

Investigation is underway.
