Four individuals were arrested for suspicions on organizing marriages of convenience.
It was discovered that two women came to Cyprus with the aim to marry foreigners for monetary reward.
According to the ruling of the District Court of Nicosia, all individuals involved in the case were arrested for 8 days. They were charged with the following offences: human trafficking, illegal entry to Cyprus and arranging marriages of convenience.
Police reports that the investigation of that case took place since December 2015 until February 2016 in Cyprus and Romania.
