Aqaba, Jordan. Aqaba’s international airport and seaport were evacuated because of a “specific and credible threat,” the U.S. embassy said on Sunday.
The embassy advised U.S. citizens not to travel to either facility and to follow security directives issued by Jordanian authorities.

In a statement posted on X, the U.S. embassy said Americans should refrain from travelling to Aqaba International Airport and the seaport.
The embassy did not provide further details about the threat.
