All roads leading to Troodos are closed completely due to strong snowfall and fog. At the speech on the state radio, the deputy head of the Cyprus police warned all drivers about the dangers and urged everyone to be careful.
The snow cover at the Olympus is 45cm and 35 cm on the Troodos Square.
“All drivers must be extremely careful. During the last 24 hours, there were already two accidents with lethal outcome. It is especially sad to loose relatives at this time of the year”- said Mr. Philippos Papaelia.
Roads, which are open only for 4×4 vehicles or those, which are equipped with snow chains:

Limassol District
- Karvouna — Kyperounta — Chantrion;
- Moniatis — Platres;
- Platres — Trooditissas.
Morphou Area
- Kakopetria — Karvouna;
- Kakopetria — Pinewood — Pedoula;
- Pedoula — Prodromos — Platres;
- Prodromos — Lemithou;
- Pedoula — Kykkos.
