The British expats who settled in Cyprus are currently worried about the possible changes in the legislation and their future on the island due to the recent Brexit vote.

CypLive reports that the tourist industry is also concerned about the upcoming withdrawal of the U.K. from the EU, as this may have a negative impact on the future of Cyprus, because it is heavily reliant on the British tourists.

The Secretary and Member of the Board of Directors of the Hotelier Association of Paphos believes that the recent vote may have long-lasting consequences. In the meantime, the President of Cyprus Nicos Anastasiades flew to Brussels to participate in the meeting of the European Council.

The participants are planning to discuss the results of the British referendum as well as problem concerning employment and investment opportunities between the EU and other countries.
