Yesterday, the record set by Italian divers for making the longest human chain underwater was beaten by divers in Cyprus, who got together in Molos, Limassol.
The ideologists of the event are the Cyprus volunteer divers association and they were sure from the beginning that the new record will be set, because it only required 174 divers to beat, whereas 100 more divers then necessary turned up to the event.
The human chain of 280 divers remained underwater for 27 minutes.
