Paphos, Cyprus. The Paphos regional tourism board, Etap Paphos, announced on Tuesday that its “Paphos – Unleash Your Senses” campaign had won two industry awards recognising the region’s long-term strategy to promote itself as an international tourism destination.
The campaign received gold at the Cyprus Tourism Awards 2025 and bronze at the Marketing Achievements Awards 2025.
Awards recognition
The campaign won a gold award in the Strategy & Innovation – Timeless Presence category at the Cyprus Tourism Awards 2025. It also received a bronze award in the Integrated Marketing category at the Marketing Achievements Awards 2025.
The tourism board said the distinctions recognised not only an individual promotional campaign but also a collaborative model developed over the past seven years.
Long-term strategy
Etap Paphos said the strategy was based on a shared long-term vision that brought together public and private sector partners to promote the Paphos region through a unified destination marketing approach.
The board described the initiative as Cyprus’ first organised effort to unite public authorities and private businesses behind a single destination marketing strategy. It said the partnership had become a benchmark for how collective action could strengthen a destination’s competitiveness in international tourism markets.
Partners and implementation
The board attributed the campaign’s success to the contribution of partners and stakeholders, including the Paphos Regional Board of Tourism, the Cyprus Hotel Association’s Paphos district branch, Hermes Airports, Eurobank, participating hotels and other supporting organisations.
It also gave special recognition to AZTECH, which was responsible for the campaign’s strategic planning and implementation. The board said the agency’s expertise had contributed to the continued development and strengthening of Paphos’ international presence.
“These distinctions carry deep significance as they celebrate more than just a successful advertising campaign,” the tourism board said.
