Pimp arrested in Southern Cyprus


A young woman has reported to the police station in the city of Paphos with a complaint on a man who was forcing her to engage in prostitution.

Phileleftheros reports that 20-year-old Turkish-Cypriot woman told the police that a 48-year-old man and his relative were working as pimps for the last 5 years in the Northern and Southern Cyprus.

After the statement, police started to look for the perpetrators. The man was arrested and his relative, allegedly, fled to Northern Cyprus. He is charged with the human trafficking, sexual exploitation and illegal income from prostitution, however he denies all of the accusations.
