Municipality of Nicosia is preparing an offer on modernization of the pedestrian streets in the old part of the city.
Currently the technical specifications are being prepared and in the nearest future, the plan will be presented to the shop-owners on the Ledra and Onasagorou streets.
One of the most important considerations is to preserve the architectural appearance of the old town.
The main goals of the renovation are: increase of quality of life of people who live and work in that region, as well as improving the drainage system in order to avoid flooding.
