A cosy spot for foodies who love fine wines, delicious canapés, desserts and a good cup of coffee. This small café is ideal for romantic dates.
A wide selection of champagne and wines from around the world, a variety of homemade cheeses and cheese-based appetisers. Desserts, including stunning chocolate truffles.
My Miniatures opens in the morning to offer lovers of French breakfasts fresh coffee, croissants and light snacks. In the evenings, there’s live music, including jazz concerts.
It’s easy to walk right past My Miniatures without noticing it: this small café doesn’t impose itself on you with garish advertising lights; it’s a place for those ‘in the know’. The modest open-air terrace, furnished with high-quality furniture, sets a romantic mood with huge bouquets of fresh flowers. Large glass display windows flanking small tables for two – it immediately reminded me of strolls through Paris!
David Ogana greets us at the entrance. A musician who performs romances in various languages, he’s a regular at My Miniatures. The café’s design is elegant and understated.
Comfortable leather sofas invite you to linger over a long, leisurely conversation, whilst the noticeable volume of the live music seems to encourage you, almost by chance, to sit closer to your companion so as not to miss a single word or sigh…
Guests are greeted by a waitress with a name that’s unusual to us: Baiba. Her warm smile blends perfectly with the café’s overall atmosphere.

Once seated, take note of the glass containing pencils and small scrolls – this is the menu: the wine list, starters and desserts. Feel free to unroll the rustling parchment, imagining yourself transported to another time. We ordered a bottle of French rosé and some popular local starters. I’ll focus on these in more detail.

The signature dish is the cheese balls (Savoury bonbons, €2.50). You simply must try them! Colourful balls made from various types of cheese, each with a surprise inside: prawns, walnuts, foie gras, lightly smoked salmon, pistachios… The little cheese puff pastry ‘mini-Napoleon’ with lightly smoked salmon is simply delightful. It’s an excellent appetiser to accompany wine – light and stylish, with a wide range of flavours and, most importantly, an element of surprise!
Chicken liver salad (€9). Tender, perfectly seared liver, dressed with balsamic vinegar and olive oil, cherry tomatoes and the essential sweet note from grape segments. The pine nuts are the perfect finishing touch. This salad is ideal for satisfying your hunger on a hot summer’s day, and will also appeal to those on a diet.
Assorted meatballs (€18 for two and €10 for one). Once again, a palette of flavours: pork, beef, chicken and lamb. The tender meatballs are pan-fried to a mouth-watering crisp, whilst remaining juicy on the inside. This would be Carlson’s favourite dish!
Roasted vegetables served in a separate stylish pan: Brussels sprouts, new potatoes, cherry tomatoes and small button mushrooms under a cheese crust. The dish is complemented by three sauces: a tangy and spicy mustard sauce, a spinach sauce and a Catalan romesco made with paprika. It’s a wonderful accompaniment to red wine!

For dessert, local truffles – served with nuts and amaretto – are the perfect ‘sweet’ finishing touch. At My Minitures, it’s lovely to pop in ‘just like that’ and chat about ‘nothing in particular’, simply gazing into each other’s eyes, warmed by the warmth of a loving heart, or to let the sweet melancholy of solitude—which we sometimes need so much—dissolve in a glass of wine…
