Concert of “Amarcord” Vocal Ensemble

The Pharos Arts Foundation, in cooperation with the Goethe Institute in Cyprus, presents the concert of the world-famous vocal ensemble “Amarcord“.

The Amarcord Vocal Ensemble was founded in 1992 by the ex-members of the St.Thomas’ children choir in Leipzig and later it became one of the leading vocal groups of the world.

One of the distinguishing features of the ensemble are their sincerity, charm and humor. The musicians have a diverse repertoire – from Medieval Gregorian singing and Renaissance masse to compositions of European Romantism period, as well as compositions from the 20^th century, including their versions of the traditional songs from different countries of the world and furthermore, all types of soul and jazz music.

The concert in Nicosia will feature the unique programme of the early spiritual and social music.
