Location of the Hotels
These two hotels, part of the Columbia Hotels network, are located in the cosy village of Pissouri on one of the best beaches in Cyprus. There are several beach restaurants next to the hotels, and small hotels and apartments, but you should note that the nearest shops, souvenir outlets and tavernas in the village itself are 2-3km away. However, the hotel itself has numerous restaurants, bars, shops with basic necessities, spa centres etc.
The hotel beaches
Both hotels are located on the beachfront and have their own sand and gravel beaches, with equipment (sun loungers, umbrellas etc.) that can be used for free by hotel guests. Pissouri beach is about 1km in length and about 15-20 wide. Various water sports are available which will be especially popular with children. The cost of riding a banana boat and doughnut ring is about €10-15. There are rentals available for adults too for those who love active water sports.
There is a municipal beach next to that of the hotels, where traditional fish tavernas offer their customers good quality food at affordable prices. The price of a lunch for two with salad, hot and refreshing drinks or wine, will cost around €60-€70.

The area of the hotel is like a fairy tale village with small stone houses resembling children’s toys. All the houses have wooden shutters and tiled roofs and are located along an 80 metre river pool which starts behind the gates of a luxurious spa centre, from which you can swim outside under a bridge and enjoy the charming beauty of the hotel. The water of the pool merges with the blue sea and rocky cliffs on the horizon, whilst the colours change from bright blue to purple. The environment creates a feeling of serenity. By the way, the spa was acknowledged three times as one of the best on the Mediterranean resorts.
If the guests walk along the river they will find themselves right by the hotel restaurants, and the staircase of one of them will lead them to the tiny church of All Saints.
Each of the luxurious hotel rooms is equipped with a bathroom with a separate walk-in shower and toilet amenities by Molton Brown, a blow dryer, conditioner, robe and slippers, additional ventilator, central heating, balcony or terrace, satellite TV with English-language channels, mini bar, telephone, safe and access to the internet, as well as all the necessary facilities to make tea or coffee.

The club’s programme is not particularly varied as the concept of the hotel is largely aimed at adults who appreciate comfort and prefer to have a holiday far from the hustle and bustle, and enjoy the wonderful views and good quality service. Going out with children will be problematic as you can get to neither the zoos nor water parks without a taxi or rental car.
The same can be said about those who enjoy nightclubs or discos – these are located 20-30 km away and are impossible to get to without transport.
Special Features оf Hotel Columbia Beach Hotel 4*
This has all the features of Columbia Beach Resort 5*, with the only difference being that room and service prices are a bit lower here. But if your decision is based on the price/quality ratio, you should definitely pay attention to this hotel as the equipment of the rooms is no worse and the service is of high quality.
Besides, the hotel will be a good choice for those who wish to have a quiet holiday in Cyprus with children because, thanks to the lower prices, there are more families here than in the nearby hotel.
