More than 3,100 applications were filed for the service in the National Guard of Cyprus

More than 3,100 applications were filed for the service in the National Guard of Cyprus on the contractual basis.

These figures became the reality after the government decided to reduce the conscription period in 2017 from 24 to 14 months, which was the part of the military reform in the country.

Men under 32, who have already served in the army, can apply for one trial year. Later the contract can be extended for another 3 years with the month salary of 1,127 Euros per month.

The deadline for the submission of applications is 24.06.2016.
