Paphos, Cyprus. Aegean Airlines will continue operating routes serving Paphos International Airport in 2027, according to an announcement issued on Tuesday by the Paphos regional tourism board, Etap Paphos. The service will preserve links with Athens and connections through the Greek capital to major European tourism markets.

Seasonal frequency and onward connections

According to Etap Paphos, the airline is expected to offer two or three flights a week between Paphos and Athens, with frequency varying by season. The board said this would give passengers and visitors more travel choices and improve access to the district from Greece.

It said Aegean’s Athens network would also provide onward access to Germany, France and the United Kingdom, alongside other destinations, strengthening links with important international visitor markets.

Support for year-round tourism

Etap Paphos welcomed the decision, describing Aegean Airlines’ continuing operations at the airport as particularly beneficial for the district’s air links. It said retaining the routes would support long-term tourism development, preserve reliable connectivity and widen the flight choices available to visitors.

The board added that the service would help its efforts to attract visitors across all seasons, encourage tourism growth and extend air connections. It also said the flights would reinforce the promotion of Paphos as a competitive destination offering quality tourism throughout the year.

The announcement comes amid the district’s continuing focus on better international access and tourism activity outside the customary peak season.
